We bring together industry and academia to conduct mutually beneficial research that yields tangible results. We often create partnerships with diverse academic institutions, enabling initiatives from exploratory research and continuous learning, to applied and basic research, and the development of patents, among others.

Through these partnerships, we aim to accumulate new knowledge and skills, create a work discipline that generates value for both parties, and learn from each other. At the same time, we look to extend our knowledge network and contribute to our growing pool of innovation.

We have also created and developed methodologies that serve as the framework for our daily tasks. For example, our business process architecture and management methodologies foster a common definition of CEMEX’s processes. These methodologies enable CEMEX to have an end-to-end view of the process; they help people to understand what they do and to discover how they fit into the broader organization; and they manage the lifecycle of process improvement and optimization in a way that translates directly to the achievement of business results.

We have developed training programs that aim to improve our managers’ style of work within the organization. We also continue to generate work practices that help to improve our company’s coordination and efficiency, while fostering collaboration.
